A short introduction to Institució de Medicina Lliure (IML)

More than 5.000 doctors with private practice in Catalonia have agreed to charge the same prices for their services. By becoming member of IML you can have access to this convenient organization.

The annual fee is 56 Euros. You are then issued a IML membership card that identifies you when making an appointment with the doctor you choose. Prices that are in the price list are going to be applied to you at the doctor's office. The price list covers the whole range of medical activity and the prices are cheaper than average.

Moreover, IML has agreements with most private hospitals and clinics in Catalonia. In case that you need to stay in a hospital, your bed days will be cheaper.

Our customer service is always ready to help you manage your health related problems. We can provide you the budget before any hospital stay or help you find the right or nearest diagnostic center, etc.

In short, IML is a private company of health experts and advisers who are at your side when you are in need of medical assistance, whether you are on holidays or on a more permanent basis.
